We understand you might have questions about starting language learning later in life. Here are the answers to what we're asked most often.

Am I too old to learn a new language?
Absolutely not! While children may pick up languages quickly, adults bring valuable life experience, discipline, and motivation to language learning. Our oldest successful student started French at age 78. The key is finding the right teaching approach, which is exactly what we provide.
What if I've never studied a foreign language before?
Most of our students are complete beginners, and our courses are designed with this in mind. We start with the basics and build confidence gradually. Our patient, encouraging approach helps nervous learners feel comfortable from day one.
How much homework is involved?
Homework is entirely optional and designed to be enjoyable rather than burdensome. We might suggest listening to French music, watching Italian films with subtitles, or practising phrases whilst cooking. The focus is on making language learning part of your daily life in pleasant ways.
What happens if I need to miss classes?
Life happens, and we understand that. We provide catch-up materials for missed sessions and encourage classmates to share notes. For extended absences, we can arrange to transfer you to the next term's course at no extra charge.
Do you offer any support for hearing difficulties?
Yes, we're experienced in accommodating various hearing needs. Our classrooms have excellent acoustics, we use visual aids extensively, and our instructors are trained to speak clearly and face the class. We also provide written summaries of verbal instructions.
